Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?
So, where is everybody?
It was such fun having discussions here, but everybody seems to have gone away.
Are there lurkers who just don't write?
Is everyone on vacation?
Just too tired to post?
Too embarrassed?
Scared?
Used all the emoticons already so the novelty is gone?

Re: Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?
I'm still here... Just trying to push out another chapter of Eidolon. Sorry about that. Anything anyone wants to talk about, what ifs, alternate scenarios, the specific moods and motivations of various scenes as revealed frame by frame, I'm up for it.
I'll even discuss devil's advocates conversations about what love interests for various characters would be better for the canon love interests, the pros and cons and whys.
For example, some people out there on the internet want to see saffron join the crew and a Mal/Inara/Saffron triangle. And I think it would be a disaster that, while hilarious and full of opportunity for storytelling, would thoroughly upset all the cozy relationships between the crew. Which is among the primary reasons we watch.

Batman?
This is unexpected. I actually still haven't seen the new movie. I have to confess that lately I have been really into a video game, and I almost want to write fanfic for that as well, but I've still been going on Eidolon on my usual update schedule. And I have a bunch of fun Firefly fanfics I want to write after this as well...
Aliasse wants to still be active and write, but up to recently she's had a deadline with a teaching handbook and manual she was working on, doing consulting business. GR might just be busy teaching.

Don't just lurk, wytch. We need you to write! Cuz if it's just Bytemite and I writing, sometimes we just PM or e-mail instead of posting here, and things get awfully quiet here. I check in daily and am always eager for more discussions. I might even post more stories if there seems to be interest in them.

Plus I haven't had a chance to work on any fair inspired stories I could have come up with last week, so the fanfic section is looking sad and abandoned.

Yeah, well, I didn't think it made any sense to post another story when the only one commenting on it was you, Byte, and I know you've already read all my junk at least twice. You've done your duty! So I haven't posted, and probably won't, unless somebody else signals some interest, too.Bytemite wrote:the fanfic section is looking sad and abandoned.

I could always hit it with polkadots, and emoticons, and polkadot artwork created via arrangement of emoticons.

Hello! I have joined after re-receiving the link to this lovely place from Byte!
Glee! It's like FFF.net used to be back when other forums than RWED were active! Fanfic things are discussed! By smart people!
So, thank you for inviting me.

Hi Rouka! Yeah, lots going on here, feel free to borrow any ideas you see, it may be a while before I can get to any of mine, and seeing other people write helps give me ideas.

But i thought i was up to date just reading the fic chapters with the care they deserve and not waffling on so much.

And you are here, too! What a marvelous happenstance. Clearly, you must abandon lurking in favor of... saying more things! Less efficient, more fun for all involved!

I agree with this. I wonder if maybe I should start to raid those lists of one word fic prompts.

Unfortunately, this board is not for art. I ought to start trying to come up with more rapid fire fics again. I think almost a month ago I promised something harvest fair related.

Re: Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?
Hello!
Forgot my password to get here and was too lazy to take the steps to recover it. I know it's like 5 seconds worth of work but what can I say? I'm a lazy gal.
Hope everyone is doing well!
Also, must report two bits of Firefly happiness.
1. Local radio station referenced 'Captain Reynolds'.
2. Saw a car with a Serenity sticker in their back window. Since they also had a Batman air freshener, this person must be my soul mate!
What is everyone up to?

Re: Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?
I still check in from time to time, but got kinda fed up with no replies to any topics I started. It's pretty hard to have a discussion with yourself. Now I mostly use this as a place to park fanfic recommendations, as it doesn't matter so much when nobody responds. Anyone wants to revive things around here, I'll gladly participate.

Re: Yoo-hoo! Anybody home?
Some time ago, I saw a guy in the audience wearing a Browncoat Redemption T-shirt. So after the show I went and talked to him. He said he'd been an extra in the fanfilm. I thought that was shiny! But he said he wasn't particularly a fan -- a friend had talked him into it. Disappointment. There are several devoted Browncoats who attend the workshop series I teach -- but I keep the extent of my fandom under wraps because I don't talk to my professional colleagues about my fanfic-writing habit.

Oh hi!
Still around, haven't gotten to EB's newest fic recommendation though. It's been a busy couple of weekends and weeks.
